Information technology is increasingly changing the way of life, work and studying, as a new learning concept, blended learning is aroused more and more attention. In the field of education, with the perfection and popularization of the information in most universities, the majority of colleges and universities carry out a web-based teaching mode. However, the expensive commercial teaching platform in the market and the cost of the software plus late service and upgrade costs are unbearable for many colleges and universities. This paper studies the teaching platform based on open source software.This article has been analysed Moodle open source platform-based network teaching system, we not only build of Baoshan College Network teaching system with the Moodle, but also apply it to teaching. We do the meaningful attempt for colleges in Yunnan. In this article, we focus on the following aspects:Studying the significance of the use of open source software in the field of higher education; Studying constructivist learning theory and the concept of blended learning; analyzing the existing problems of computer basic teaching in Baoshan College; exploring the feasibility of teachers in teaching process to solve the problem is to build a network teaching system and to carry out hybrid web-based teaching mode; Demand analysis of network teaching system mainly include overall functional requirements analysis, system functional requirements analysis and system performance requirements analysis; research-based the Moodle network teaching system design, including system architecture design, database design, network teaching systemanalyze the design of functional design, database design from the conceptual structure and logical structure. The detailed design of the system functional design business process for each specific module; Studying the main functions of Moodle online teaching overall design of the system, as well as its various functional modules, we take the installation of third-party plug-Register as a example to realize the expansion of functional modules; According to the characteristics of the University Computer Basic Course, we designed the auxiliary block diagram of the teaching system; we built the teaching network system with Moodle in Baoshan College and University Computer Basic Course was opened on this network teaching system to carry out the teaching practice. This article finally summarizes the research work and explore the direction of future research.
