Moodle is a free open-source Curriculum Management System whose function is powerful based on Constructivism Theory. It can be applied for teachers and students in teaching or learning online, and it also can help teachers create online learning community. Although the developers of Moodle are from Australia, education has no borders. At present, many countries around the world are using Moodle to do online courses in education field and enterprises training institutions. The Moodle users are from all ages, who can use it from pupils to college or higher level.Here is a teaching method which is called blended teaching. It combines traditional teaching with digital teaching advantages. Traditional teaching facilitates centralized management and controlling teaching progress, but the evaluation form is single, the channel of obtaining resources is very narrow, and it is easy to deprive the students' enthusiasm for study. Digital teaching enables students to broaden the channels of obtaining resources by using the Internet. Teachers, students and parents can participate in this kind of evaluation. It breaks the limitation in time and space, but the learning effect depends on learners' self-consciousness. So blended teaching occupies both advantages.This paper is divided into three parts, which are theoretical exploration, teaching practice, investigation and analysis.In the theory part, this paper analyzes the characteristics of blended teaching, the advantages of blended teaching, the model of design patterns and implementation based on Moodle.In the practice teaching part, this paper takes Moodle as a tool, through the blended teaching design for high school history Compulsory Book One: the Political History from a practical point of view, to enable the students to truly understand the advantages and the fun of using the Moodle.In the investigation and analysis part, this paper analyzes the survey results of the blended teaching and summarizes the the results and experience of application, but also it discusses the problems and analyzes the shortcomings during the application.In the last part, this paper recommends the suggestions for perfecting the problems encountered in blended teaching based on Moodle, and it predicts the bright future of blended teaching.
