The coal gas is an important link in the production of ceramic and other industrial. Itsefficiency and quality has a direct impact on the cost of ceramic production. So it has veryimportant value and significance to improve the coal gas efficiency and quality for reducingthe cost and improving the production level of the entire ceramic process. At the same time,our gas furnace mostly used the old electrical control. It is inconvenient and disadvantagescompared with foreign advanced technology. So it is very necessary to take automatic controlin the double-stage coal gas generating process.Compared with the single-stage coal gas furnace, the double-stage coal gas has th efeature of high heat production and environmental protection. But there are still manyproblems like the control of drum level and saturation temperature. The manual controlcaused many problems like the low control accuracy and security risks. These issues are needsto be resolved.Based on the study of double-stage coal gas generating process, the paper analyzes theinfluence of technological parameters to gasification efficiency and control requirements. Andput forward a scheme of automatic control, as a result, a disadvantage cause by relay logiccontrol and simple PLC control has been eliminated.Aimed at the current situation of control system of the gas generator, the automaticallycontrol system is developed according to the reliable, advanced and economical design rules.It realized the function of coal-adding control system, deflected burning testing system,phenol water recycling system, saturation temperature and drum level PID control. Based onthe system requirements, the software and hardware configuration is designed. With thereal-time monitoring of gas generating process and suitable control algorithms, relievesoperator’s labor, and brings economy to the company.
