Boiler is one kind of very important heat and energy power resource equipment to serve national industry of electric, petroleum, chemical and others. The control level of boiler system becomes one key factor to measure the performance of system. Because boiler bears frequent operation on starting and pausing with variant load, it is difficult to rely on manual operation to ensure its security, stability and long-term operation to be economical in real production conditions. Actually control automation has become a guarantee to operation of safety and high efficiency. Boiler control is a more complicated control process, in order to ensure the provision of qualified needs the steam load and the safe operation of boilers, each aspect of the process parameters must be strictly controlled, and the drum water level control system for automatic control system for boilers are the most important aspect.Boiler drum water level are important parameters of the normal operation to maintain the drum water level at a certain range of changes. Boiler water-level controlling is among one of the important tasks as well as steam turbine and boiler to ensure safe operation of an important condition. If the water level affects the soft drum of the normal work of separation devices, which may result in the exported steam boiler with water and salt too, so due to over heating the surface would even get destroyed and affect the normal operation of facilities. If the drum water level is too low, it would damage the boiler water conditions and result in inadequate water supply and water-wall that is burned. So research of boiler drum water level control is of an important significance. At present, the boiler drum water level control of mostly conventional PID control method, because its control parameters are fixed and can not be adjusted online, and its control is often difficult to meet the requirements. Conventional fuzzy control can also be applied in, however there is a remarkable static error and defects such as relays. Fuzzy adaptive PID controlling method is with adaptive capability to eliminate the relay and theoretically, completely eliminate the static error. Adaptive fuzzy PID control theory applied to the design of control systems, without the need for a larger model of the system changing, where we will be able to obtain better control effect. Therefore, this article uses the theory of fuzzy adaptive PID control system for drum water level control. In the design of controller a digital signal processor DSP chip TMS320LF2407A is used as the core of hardware and software in current system. Simulation routines of Matlab are also done to validate and adjust the result of methods used in this paper, suggesting that the system basically could eliminate the effects of disturbance in the output and improve quality of production like saving costs, and make contribution to research and application of this main field.
