Boiler is a kind of indispensable energy supply equipment in industrial production, which provides heat energy for central heating and power for equipment. Rigorous demand should be exerted on the control effect and precision of the control system in industrial boilers to ensure safe and efficient production, of which drum water level of boiler is a vital control parameter and also a comparatively complicated control variable in the whole boiler control system. For those boiler control systems that have already been rather complicated, in the course of the regulation of the boiler drum control system with nonlinearity, strong coupling and multi variables, during the process of actual control, the systems most adopt drum water level control system of boiler in traditional PID control strategy, which is unsatisfactory in the control effect.In this paper, aiming at the difficult points in drum water level control system of industrial boiler, through comparing and analyzing traditional PID control strategy, fuzzy control PID control strategy and neural network PID control strategy, and summarizing their features of control, by integrating traditional PID control algorithms with fuzzy neural network, a kind of drum water level controller of boiler on the basis of fuzzy neural PID control strategy is designed. The controller boasts functions of real-time online regulation of PID parameter, optimization of membership function and network weights. Besides,the controller's structure and corresponding control algorithm are elaborated,then MATLAB simulation is conducted on traditional PID control strategy, fuzzy control PID control strategy, neural network PID control strategy and fuzzy neural PID control strategy in three impulses drum water level control system respectively to compare and analyze their control effects. The results demonstrate that comparing with three other commonly used control strategies, the optimization scheme of boiler drum water level on the basis of fuzzy neural PIDcontrol strategy proposed in this paper is capable of better control the quality and with a broader prospect for development.
