With economic globalization and the development of electroniccommerce, more and more companies recognize the BPM software willplay a key role in improving the competitiveness of enterprises. Atpresent, however, as the BPM software market is not mature, the choiceof inappropriate BPM products is likely to obstruct the development ofenterprise. Moreover, with the increase in demand of BPM software,BPM software systems become more and more complex and difficult tocontrol, and software accidents also bring huge economic losses to theenterprise. Therefore, how to select the suitable and high credibility BPMsoftware for enterprise development becomes one problem for policymakers. But at present the assessment of BPM software has no uniformstandard.This paper mainly reaches the evaluation and selection of completeBPM software solutions. The strategic points are structuring of BPMsoftware evaluation index system, the definitions and measurement ofevaluation indicator, and the selection of BPM software evaluationalgorithm. The main work of this paper is as follows:(1) On the basis of the existing software evaluation index system, itpresents evaluation indicator system based on the Balanced Scorecard(BSC).This indicator system combines software quality standards, thecredibility of the software and key indicators for life cycle of BPMsoftware, analyses and measure BPM software from different angles suchas finance, customer, internal business process as well as learning andgrowth, and gives the definition and measurement methods of evaluationindicators.(2)For the hierarchical specificity of BPM software evaluationindicators system, and the evaluation indicators containing cost andefficiency’s attributes characteristics, it puts forward one kind ofevaluation algorithm based on FAHP and improved linguistic scalesmulti-attribute group decision making method. Through the evaluation ofactual case, it validates the feasibility of the evaluation model, andanalyses superiority of the evaluation algorithm.(3) According to the BPM software evaluation and selection process in this paper, design and develop a BPM software evaluation tool whichname is EvaTool based on B/S structure, realize BPM softwareevaluation automatic execution.Through the above research, it is easy for decision makers to chooseone suit and high credibility software among multitudinous BMPsoftware, at the same time it provides theory basis for the BPM softwareindustry evaluation rules establishment and has great academic value andcommercial application value.
