With the rapid advance of society, it is even more important for graduating studentimproving their theoretical knowledge and practical abilities. Employing unit hopes thatgraduating student not only owns solid theoretical abilities but also practice. Therefore, labinformation management becomes more important. In lab, students not only practice theirability, but as well build team spirit. Building standardized construction and management oflab will provide a perfect experimental environment. Depending on the problem of lab, thepaper designs and realizes lab information management system. It discusses develop processfrom demand analysis, preliminary design, details design and system implementation.Combining with the situation of lab management, the paper does demand analysis fromfeasibility, functionality and security. After that it makes the detail design from structure,database and function, and then describes the system function and implementation methods.The system adopts the B/S, a three-tier structure, and designs to include performance layer,business logic and data access tier layer. It actualizes all the function mentioned according tothe principle of low coupling high cohesion. The system takes out the alert of devicemaintenance period which makes staff work conveniently. In the aspect of lab appointment,the system defines and rules workflow, as a result it can make the managementevidence-based and rule-based. The User Interface of system is conciseness and convenient touse. It also offers function of data import, data export and print. All the Application shows thatthe system is steady, reliable, and easy to operate. It greatly improves the working efficiencyof the staff and supplies a great laboratory environment.The system runs well after practice and it receives widely-admired by the teachers andstudents. However, the part of system needs deep-seated development in the near future tomeet the need its development.
