Study On Library Information Services In Agricultural Universities Under The Background Of New Rural Area Construction

The construction of New Rural Area is a crucial task during modern developmentin China. With development of digital services, the function of information services inconstruction of new rural area becomes more and more important, which is a keyfactor in promoting modern agricultural development. After years of advancement andconstruction, libraries in agricultural universities have got an important advancement,which play a significant and particular role in the construction of new rural area.Combining demand of agricultural information and Library Information Servicesin Agricultural Universities, this paper used Literature Research Method, SystemAnalysis Method, Web Survey and Expert Interview Method to analyze the status andexisting problems in construction and services in libraries of Agricultural Universities,put forward suggestions and new thought to promote services in the libraries to realizesustainable development which is undoubtedly significant.This paper was divided into seven parts.First Chapter was the introduction that mainly introduced the purpose,significance, study status, study content and measures.Second Chapter was presentations for Library Information Services inAgricultural Universities which elaborated Generation and development stage of theLibrary Information Services including traditional, interdisciplinary and digitalinformation stage, also expressed the factors that effected the development of libraryinformation services, which are level of infrastructure construction, environmentalfactors, funds and ability of managers, then demonstrated the role which the librariesplayed in construction of new rural area.Third Chapter was advantages of the libraries information services, which werethat libraries got the ability to expound services, possessed information and talentresources, had most scientific research achievements, and got advantages to servevulnerable groups in rural areas.Fourth Chapter was the status of construction and service which included the status of construction, studied on service pattern, object, data resource, informationshare, and expressed the status of information service that were participating ruralarea interviews, scientific practice, proving suggestions for policy decisions andservices for vulnerable groups.Fifth Chapter was analysis on existing problems in libraries information serviceswhich concerned about literate acquisition, item funds, ability of managers,infrastructure construction, the culture life of peasant-workers，left-over children.Sixth chapter provided measurements for construction of the libraries which referto providing distant-education, providing consulting services, enhancing data baseconstruction, sharing data resource, developing particular information services andexpounding information services.Seventh Chapter was conclusions.
