Three Agricultural Information Service System Design

Focusing on the Agriculture, Peasants and rural areas and improving the construction of new countryside with the characteristics of socialism is the long term strategy in our country. It is to increase the investment of agricultural informatization, raise the incomes of peasants, assure the production, livelihood that can drive the harmonious development of economy and society. However, we encounter a lot of obstacles in the countryside development, for example, the delayed kick-off, low starting point, insufficient investment, limited usage, as well as the lack of information sharing and interaction among agricultural administrative departments and social agricultural enterprises, the limited notifying channels, and not well-established information architecture.For the improved service of agriculture, peasants and rural areas, it is needed to design the system for the service. The initial concept is to establish a data center, two application systems, and a service website. One data center has three functions, namely, alarming, collecting data of the service for agriculture, peasants and rural areas, and supervising the products information, which can realize data sharing among agricultural administrative departments and social agricultural enterprises through the networks; two application systems are the information service system of the agriculture technology and farm products for collecting, managing, estimating, and analyzing of the resource information; one service website is the service website for publishing the information in the data center and application systems. The point of the system mentioned above is to share, collect, and publish the information. The advantages of the system are that it owns strong expandability and that it can fully make use of the channels, such as computers, TVs, and Phones, to collect the system information.Because the author is working in an agriculture related bureau, the design of construction of the service system for the agriculture, peasants and rural is just used for the study and a concept, no other specific purposes. The author wants to take the advantages of the information and technology to change the traditional agriculture, increase the income of peasants, get rid of the lagging situation of countryside, improve the comprehensive production, and promote the new countryside with the characteristics of socialism. The information system construction is a systematic program which still needs to a lot of works, like purchase equipments, develop soft wares, construct machine rooms, integrate systems, and evaluate environment protection. However, because it is a subject study, it will not be described in details.
