The terrestrial mobile communication networks are limited by geographical conditions,construction difficulties,and construction costs.Global coverage of terrestrial mobile communications has not yet been achieved globally.In comparison,satellite mobile communications can achieve wide-area or global coverage.Covered areas provide services to users.In recent years,with the development of satellite mobile communications,the leader in mobile satellite communications,the International Maritime Satellite Organization(Inmarsat for short)successfully launched the fourth generation of maritime satellites,and has completed the deployment of satellite system networks.This system can provide global users with low-latency,high-bandwidth,global seamless coverage,flexible and convenient Internet access services.This article is to design and implement a portable outdoor land-based broadband terminal based on the fourth-generation maritime satellite broadband communication system.Users can use this satellite terminal to quickly connect to the Internet through satellite mobile networks,and they can be obtained from the network anytime,anywhere.Required service resources.This paper adopts a hierarchical design idea from system to terminal to module.The key research work is to design and implement a land-based portable terminal based on the fourth-generation maritime satellite broadband communication system.The first is to introduce the three major components of the fourth generation maritime satellite broadband communication system,namely: the space segment,the ground segment and the user segment,and analyze the main technical indicators and key technologies of the system,and introduce the voice communication of the satellite system,Main business types such as data transmission.Then it introduces the functions and performance of the terminal that is an important part of the satellite system,the composition of the terminal module,the working principle of the terminal's satellite search and network establishment,and the typical application of the terminal in the field of outdoor communication.The implementation of the terminal in this article includes the design and implementation of the module hardware and software,including: the hardware design of the application management module,baseband processing module,RF front-end module and antenna unit,and the design and key process analysis of the corresponding software of each module.Network registration process,NAT network sharing mode process,PPPoE network dedicated mode process.Finally,the common test methods and steps of portable satellite terminals are introduced,and the main functions of satellite terminals such as satellite alignment,network connection,data transmission,and telephone voice are tested in detail.The test results verify the correctness of the terminal design and index compliance.This terminal is the first domestic maritime satellite broadband communication terminal developed based on the Inmarsat baseband processing module.Its power performance can completely replace the same type of satellite terminal products produced by foreign manufacturers.The successful development of this terminal will be low cost,portable,and efficient.And other advantages to break the monopoly position of foreign manufacturers in the portable maritime satellite broadband terminal market.It has important practical significance and application value in seizing the market of satellite communications and accumulating satellite communications technology.
