In recent years, with the scalability of embedded technology and the popularity of the Internet,the combination of embedded equipment and the Internet has become a heated research field. With the development of Internet technology, a lot of embedded products which have access to the Internet are widely used in various fields. Since monitoring and control system based on Web server satisfies the users’ demand to carry out real-time monitoring of equipment status, it has been increasingly popular and widely used in the markets. In this paper, the portable satellite communication earth station handheld control terminal system is such a monitoring and control system that embedded Web server, based on B/S architecture and using handheld terminal as a control mode.The microprocessor of portable satellite antenna for this project is ARM9. In this paper, we formulate an embedded Linux platform by transplanting embedded Linux operating system into it,and transplant Boa server to configure the portable satellite antenna as Web server work mode, and then complete the transplantation of SQLite database. By means of CGI, JavaScript, Ajax and IPC technology, we come up with the codes of six main modules which are login module, monitoring module, parameter setting module, database management module, help module and data read-write module respectively, thus successfully achieving data interaction between users and portable satellite antenna.The system in this project installs wireless network card in the control board and transplants the wireless network card driver, which allows users with portable control terminal to utilize wireless WiFi technology to monitor portable satellite antenna system by configuring IP parameter of portable control terminal. This system has been tested and used in portable products of Nanjing China-Spacenet Satellite Telecom Co., Ltd, which has brought users great convenience to realize the real-time monitoring.
