| With the complexity of electronic systems, high integration, the traditional designprocess make electronic system design become more and more complicated, and the systemsimulation, performance testing and function verification can not be conductedsimultaneously, design versatility and reliability not be guaranteed yet. Evolvablehardware technology make these problems be possible to solve. Evolvable Hardware(EHW)is a digital circuit design method consists of the evolutionary process of evolutionaryalgorithm and NVPD, which creats satisfying electronic circuits so as to independently anddynamically realize self-reconfiguration according to the environment change, and then underthe harsh environment the stability of the hardware and the reliability of the system arehighly improved and the life of the hardware is extended. At present, the research for thetechnology of Evolution Hardware focuses on the "circuit automatic design" and "on-lineadaptive and fault-toleranceâ€.This article presents the process, characteristics and the basic operation of theEvolutionary Algorithm, primarily for the way of online evolution of Evolvable Hardware,evolvable hardware on-line test platform for evolutionary research. Study the evolution of theprogrammable switch array based on hardware evolution on-line test platform, and give apreliminary research for based on the FPGA of Evolvable Hardware test platform for theon-line evolution. Some positive results have been obtained:1. The paper discussed the classification and characteristics of evolutionary algorithm,focused on the process of genetic algorithm and basic operation, describedthe binary encoding scheme of the genetic algorithm in detail, through the online instanceof the evolution of the genetic algorithm and offline evolutionary way,compared the onlineand offline way of evolution through an example of genetic algorithm.2. This article conducted a research on the Evolvable Hardware test platform on-lineevolution of soft and hardware design which is based on the programmable switch array. Theplatform has a strong commonality through the online platforms for medium and small scalecircuits design of Evolvable Hardware experiment and study on several methods of evolution strategies and evolutionary.3. Based on the FPGA on-line evolution evolvable hardware test platform are studied, forexample FPGA, evolvable hardware evolutionary test platform for on-line is specialized inFPGA development environment, using hardware description language to carry on thefunctional description, and the description based on FPGA. |
