Research On Evolvable Hardware Based On FPGA

Hardware evolution of technology is a new design technology of hardware system which was put to 1990s .The basic idea of evolvable hardware was that the structure of system was designed and adjusted by using the idea of evolution. The evolvable hardware can improve the security of system when it has the features of self-organizing,adaptive and self-healing.Firstly the concept of hardware and evolutionary algorithm was researched in this paper,Secondly,base on in-depth study on concept of evolvable hardware and evolutionary algorithms, Genetic algorithms was selected as the evolutionary algorithms to study the evolvable hardware. The concept of evolvable hardware has been designed by the different purpose on evolvable hardware of different researchers. In the instruction of evolutionary algorithms, the Genetic algorithms, the Ant colony algorithms and mixture of ant colony and genetic algorithm were ,mainly introduced The Genetic algorithms has been selected and divided into control module ,initial module ,select module, cross-variant modules, memory modules, random module by studying of evolutionary algorithms. At the same time the design has been completed on the GX—SOC/SOPC—DEV-LAB PLATFROM which is offered by gexin company. The assessment function has been designed as the max. The accuracy of design has been tested through the analysis of evolution data. In this design, the software of QuartusⅡ, the language of VHDL and the chip of cyclone which is offered by Altera Company were usedAt last the summary of research on evolvable hardware was discussed and the work in the future was looked forward.
