As the first two-dimensional code system with independent intellectual property inChina, The research of Chinese-Sensible code will play an important role in improving thelevel of barcode technology and broadening the application areas of the two-dimensionalcode in China, so it is significant to grasp the technology of Chinese-Sensible code. Some-times there will be a picture with uneven illumination or the barcode is tilted or even dis-torted, it is necessary to pro-process the image to make sure decoding correctly. On thebasis of analyzing the structure of Chinese-Sensible code、coding and decoding principle indepth, the article did a detailed study on binarization processing and positioning of Chinese-Sensible code. The main works are as follows:Firstly, some basic features and coding principle of Chinese-Sensible code are intro-duced. then, RS correction algorithm theory are discussed.Secondly, at the aspect of binarization processing, on the basis of brief summary ofglobal threshold method (Otsu’s method, the global optimum threshold iterative method)and local threshold method (Bernsen method, etc.) The binarization processing algorithmsfor images captured by cell phone camera are given. Based on a large number of experiments,we come up with the improved adaptive threshold method and improved Bernsen method,which results in lowering the complexity of the algorithm and overcoming the limitations ofthe local threshold methods, especially,the processing result gets a promotion with unevenillumination compared with previous algorithms.Thirdly, digital image processing technologies are made full use in barcode positioning.we accomplish the positioning via a series of processing containing corrosion, binarization,finding contour,Convex quadrilateral approximation and so on. The algorithm could success- fully find the object in an image with several Chinese-Sensible codes as well as the imagescaptured by cell phone camera, the images with a certain tilt angle are allowed.Finally, the Positioning algorithm of Chinese-Sensible code in a value-added tax invoiceis studied by the means of calculating image rotation angle,image correction, cutting andextracting the barcode, which lays a good foundation for the recognition of the Chinese-Sensible code.
