Research On Two-Dimensional Barcode

Two-dimensional barcode is a new-style barcode based one dimension, the content of information increases enormously, it is not only the marking but also the description of the products.PDF417 is a representative of 2D barcode. The techniques of PDF417 barcode coding, information hiding and detecting are studied.At first, the coding theory of PDF417 is introduced, and the software of analysis barcode is achieved according to the algorithm. Secondly, an information hiding technique is proposed, which is based on the configuration of PDF417 barcode. By modifying the configuration of bar and space slightly, information is hidden into PDF417 barcode in the precondition of decoding correctly. Finally, based on the foundation of the traditional barcode detecting algorithm, an improvement algorithm is put forward, it is calculated that the weighted average of first derivative of the barcode boundary signal to accurate the edge in the sub-pixel class.
