Research Of Generation And Recognition On PDF417 Barcode

Two-dimensional barcode is a new-style barcode based on one dimensionl.It's content of information is bulky. It can not only describe the products triumphantly but also make a bar code isolate self from a data base becoming the independent information carrier. In foreign countries, 2-D barcodes technology has already been applied in many fields, and they have produced 2-D barcode reader system with good property. However, in China, this technology is just at research phase. We want to develop two-dimensional bar code technology, we must start from the basic research until the core technology.In this paper,we have study on the two-dimensional bar code on the line in a representative row-two-dimensional bar code - PDF417 barcode from these aspects as following .1) This paper research the characters and basic principles of the design of two-dimensional bar code and detailed example of its application, and specifically on the steps of the process by computer, including the realization of Chinese characters, images and text information .2) This paper also give a brief introducing on Reed-Solomon error control code (R-S code)and It's application principle in PDF417 bar codes .3) The identification of bar code in this paper, which is based on image processing barcode recognition method, that is, to treatment the barcode image get from produce, remove pollutionnoise, all these set-up a strong basis for barcode decoding.
