ZigBee Union is a company union that is committed to ZigBee development tomake it become an open global standard and offers certification service to thestandard. Its product ZigBee is defined by the union as a kind of reliable wirelessnetwork monitor control device with cost-efficiency and low-power consumption.ZigBee includes IEeE802.15.4of physical layer and of MAC layer. Besides, ZiBeeprotocol stack could also offer support to network and the application layer. Impulsetype remote transmitting gas meter is to install an impulse signal generator to commongas meter. When certain amount of natural gas (or coal gas) goes through the meter,the impulse signal generator could send out a switch (impulse) signal, which istransmitted to the collecting system through signal transmission line to realize remotemeter reading.The nonadjacent nodes of this system network fulfill the remote transmission ofrelated data through multi-hop routing in the way of wireless communication, so thefunctions and reliability of various types of nodes have significant influences on theoverall performance of the system. Starting from he monitor management functions ofremote transmission gas meter, this essay puts forward the framework of supervisionmanagement system of city wireless remote gas meters based on wireless sensornetwork, illustrates the functional contents of the monitor nodes, aggregation nodesand data collection, gives detailed analysis about the design programs of various typesof nodes and explains the design of multi-hop routing protocol based on datatransmission reliability and service life of each wireless sensor network nodes.The study shows that through continuous perfection of wireless sensor networknode hardware circuit as well as its software, the monitor and management systemcould collect the information of traditional mechanical gas meter flows and convert itinto digital information, which is processed by embedded microprocessor throughstoring, calculating and analyzing and then the data are transmitted and receivedthrough wireless transmission interface. Besides, gas data management based onpersonal digital assistant (PDA) is also an essential part of the monitor managementsystem of city wireless remote transmission gas meter. Through application of PDAdata collection management aggregation nodes, the flexibility of monitor managementsystem of remote transmission gas meter is increased and wireless, network andhigh-efficient management of city gas meters has basically been accomplished.
