With China's reform and increasing open up constantly,some illegal phenomenon of crossing border is more serious,and the traditional way of patrol on time or in the fixed place is more and more invalid,so how to find wireless monitoring facilities of small investment,small size,low cost,flexible,and low energy supply to replace the current cable monitoring is the important matter in the border troops for a long term,but it is feasible to use the technology based on the ZigBee wireless sensor network for building,and independently to detection the border control system.ZigBee is a new wireless technology of low complexity,low-power,low data rate,low-cost,it is a technology between the wireless marked and the Bluetooth technology;it is mainly used for short distance wireless connectivity.It is based on IEEE802.15.4 standard,and achieves coordination among communications in a number of tiny sensors.These sensors require very little energy,and relay the data from a sensor to another by radio waves,so communication efficiency is very high. Wireless sensor networks(WSN)is composed of a large number of low-cost, micro-sensor nodes in the monitor region,through wireless means of communication formed a multi-hop,self-organizing networks,with the aim of perception,collection and processing object perceptive information in the network coverage region,and send the results to observers.In this paper,it developed a border control system based on ZigBee technology.It applies ZigBee technology to the boundary markers and civil personnel near the channel monitoring.It will distribute the infrared sensor nodes in the vicinity of the boundary markers and civil channels testing the existence of human,as an "electronic eye",at any time inspecting the boundary markers and stowaway,and transmitting information through the wireless network to Monitoring Centre.Monitoring Centre determine whether the boundary markers was damaged and illegal access to private access,and promptly sent a patrol unit to take control measures.Yunnan Province is in the border,and has a long border line,complex terrain,so a border control system based on ZigBee technology play an important role in reducing investment,strengthening border control. In this paper,the preliminary work is to understand the ZigBee technology status and leam knowledge involving the wireless sensor network,and research the key technologies such as sensor nodes design and routing agreement.The focus is choosing suitable chip based on the parameters,completing hardware and software design of a simple node,and realizing the two-way communication of the small star network node.According to the characteristics of the application examples,wc can use OMNeT + + network simulation software for the simulation.
