The wireless sensor network technology is widely applied in many areas. At present, the major application field includes smart energy, industrial production process monitoring, precision agriculture, disaster warning, environmental protection, and intelligent transportation, etc.1. The research on low power gas meter is based on wireless sensor networkIn the application of wireless sensor network in long-distance meter reading system, this paper introduces the process of gas measurement meter reading system's structure and the designed nodes'examples, points out the key factor of low power design, the design of low power digital gas meter system in detail. Finally, through the analysis of test results, the low power effect of the designed gas meter is validated. With ordinary 5 alkaline battery power supply, the system can work 3-5 years.2. Research on the Wireless Sensor Network Reliability ModelFirstly, we summarize the present study of wireless sensor network reliability, and present the new definition of wireless sensor networks reliability. According to the definition of the reliability of wireless sensor network, this paper proposes a method to model the wireless sensor network reliability, which is based on the application. Referring to the wired network and Ad-hoc networks, this paper defines related importance:the probability importance of sensor node, the probability importance of event, the structure importance of sensor nodes of an event.3. The time synchronization algorithms basing on hierarchical radio wireless sensor networkThis paper proposes an improved time synchronization algorithms. This algorithm is accordance with the synchronization algorithms, which is divided into two phases:the first phase is network initialization stage, and then is time synchronization phase. The sensor node actual hardware environment proves that time synchronization algorithm is correct.4. Key management system basing on wireless sensor networks of long-distance meter readingAiming at the gas meter reading system of their own characteristics, we put forward a set of security key management schemes. This initiative supports the key automatic updates. which also guarantees prior to confidentiality and backward confidential.To sum up. the results obtained in this paper based on the wireless sensor network technology long-distance meter reading application research has very good theoretical significance and application value.For the future, we will work in the following areas:Internet of Things system in long-distance meter reading value-added application expansion, based on wireless sensor network reliability environmental factors modeling methods, technical cloud computing platform system structure and application, etc. Besides, how to model wireless sensor network reliability including complex relationship problems will be processed in the future.
