Our country is a state which is short of water resource, flood and droughtdisasters occurred frequently. The management of water resources and reasonableuse in the national economy is becoming more and more important. Along withthe rapid development of science and technology and the increase of people’sliving standard, automation, informatization has become the direction of theeconomy and society, collection and management of information resources hasbecome an important strategic tool in irrigation’s development, irrigationinformatization is an important guarantee of the irrigational sustainabledevelopment and economic sustainable development.Irrigation information acquis ition and processing system mainly includingtwo parts, remote monitoring terminal (hypogynous computer) and themonitoring center (principal computer software). The content of this paper is thedesign and implementation of PC software.This article analyses the development status of the irrigation managementinformation system domestically and abroad in detail, expounds thecharacteristics of geography and data in irrigation area, starts from industrialcontrol PC software, uses database access and serial interface communicationtechnology and designs the PC application software of information monitoringsystem. The monitoring center is formed by GPRS/GSM communication module,the user interface module which is developed by VC++and database module. PCmakes all communication modules connect with RS-232serial ports, use ATcommand control communication module for data’s sending and receiving,introduces the communication protocol for data’s exchange between the hostcomputer and remote monitoring terminal, and transmits the received datainformation to the PC database to be saved, uses Microsoft SQL Server2000forthe data’s storage management, query, analysis and processing, then generate related statements.This software has the functions of real-time monitoring of water level,rainfall, and flow in irrigation area, data storage and historical data view, dataexported to excel, sets the parameters of the system and communication andprinting.While it is a visual, full Chinese interface, scalability, reducing humanerror, and it has an extremely important role for improving the efficiency ofirrigation management and decision-making level.
