With the rapid development of sensor technology, wireless transmissiontechnology and software engineering technology, informatization levels ofdangerous chemicals monitoring have improved quickly. Because of Self-organized, distributed, low-cost, and low-power characteristics of wireless sensornetwork, attention has been increasingly paid to accurate, timely, continuousmonitoring of dangerous chemicals on wireless sensor network.According to the actual production requirements, the design of this issue iswireless sensor network which based on chlorine safety monitoring system forchlorine safety monitoring, collecting chlorine concentration, humidity andtemperature data of the various monitoring area. As the chlorine sensor outputsignal is changed obviously by the environmental impact in temperature, asoftware compensation method is employed to improve the accuracy of chlorinemonitoring, and it can effectively avoid the phenomenon of mistake warning.This system is mainly consisted of a central node, a plurality of terminalnodes and computer monitoring center. The core controller chip of the system isMSP430F149, completing the hardware circuit of the central node and terminalnodes, the wireless transmission protocol of star topology network, and themonitoring software of computer monitoring center. After starting the system, thevarious node based on the wireless transmission protocol of star topologynetwork quickly and automatically form an independent network. Theinformation transmission is realized between the center node and computerthrough the USB interface. The terminal nodes receive and transmit the computercommands. The data information is converted back to the central node by thewireless communication module. Real-time data displaying and dynamic curvedrawing, alarming for monitoring chlorine concentration exceeds the specifiedthreshold functions are completed by the monitoring alarm software of computer monitoring center.The practical tests show that the system can meet the technical indicators ofchlorine safety monitoring. Wireless sensor network can be deployed quickly andflexible. The system has the advantages of excellent anti-jamming ability,operating reliably and easy to expand. The issue has important significance to thedevelopment of the dangerous chemicals monitoring technology.
