The receiving system is an important part of the radar and communication system, and with the development of software radio technology, the radio receiver technology turns baseband digital to intermediate frequency(IF) digital, therefore, it’s possible to implement the wide bandwidth digital IF receiver based on the bandpass sampling theory. With the development of device technology level, the digital intermediate frequency receiving system becomes the mainstream of the receiving system design for its own advantage.This paper firstly introduced the background of software radio and its key processing technology, including the sampling theory, digital orthogonal demodulation technology and the decimation filter technology. The receiving system structure was decided according to the design requirements of the subject, system design and simulation was processed with MATLAB, which verified the validity of the design. And then the design of some key modules,such as ecimation filter, orthogonal demodulation and matched filter, which were based on FPGA was carried into execution with QuartusII, and the timing simulation was implemented after compilation. In the end, the circuit of the digital intermediate frequency processing was designed.
