| In recent years, with the rapid development of information technology,information management systems based on fat client and thin client technologybecome unable to meet the needs of user requirements, so the smart clienttechnology came into being. It combines the excellent customer experience of theC/S mode and the good deployment and easy maintenance of the B/S mode, and italso has a powerful desktop applications and web application program interface therapid upgrade and update function. This thesis will apply smart client technology todevelop a more powerful information management system for examination.This thesis discussed the concept and the working principle of the smart client,and compared the advantages and disadvantages of the applications based on theC/S mode, B/S mode and the smart client. It also discussed the basic features of thesmart client, demonstrated the advantages of smart client technology.This thesis has also described a study of the key technology of smart client,analyzed the problems in practice in depth and improved technologies about theapplication system such as the cut-off mechanism, the data cache, the dataconcurrency. It developed a data-centric method of handling mechanism functionoccasionally connection. The database management system applied of thismechanism can effectively reduces the pressure on the server effectively, reducesthe workload of the programmer, avoids the examination data loss caused by fault.It also formulated the approaches with the combination of memory-resident cacheand disk-resident cache to deal with the problem of local data cache, and used theentity class as a data transfer component to achieve the local data cache, so it is akind of innovation of data processing technology.Finally, transformed the examination of Hunan Engineering IndustryPolytechnic, applied improved cut-off mechanism and data processing in the system,designed a database application procedures based on windows smart client toimprove the function of the system. |
