Enrollment demands Enrollment Management Information System(EMIS) of higher standard because of different work environment, the processing of large numbers of new students' data, the dissemination of online information, the statistics of instant data and the making of next year enrollment plan. The main purpose of this paper is designed to deal with information and to predict with its historical data, so as to reduce the labor intensity of work people, to support the deployment and decisions of enrollment.Based on the needs of enrollment, the paper designed the Smart Client Based EMIS. Its major advantages are as follows:1 , Adopted the framework of "Smart Client enrollment management" + "B/S information dissemination and browsing platform" The system can work properly both at linking situation and departing situation.2, completed the data acquisition, management and utilization, offline data and online data can be interface seaminglessly with online data, so are the data of Smart Client based enrollment management and B/S information dissemination and browsing platform data.3, The branch systems are relatively independent in function, and can download freely and install locally from distant server according to the needs of their work, simplifying the software installation process, realizing the loose connection of the systems.4, Adopted Data Mining Association Rules technology, application of Apriori algorithm to the seek frequent itemsets, confidence and relevant rules according to its support. Apriori helps to complete the analysis of the students information.This paper discusses the design and realizing process of the system. Makes a more in-depth study on data mining technology and the Smart Client offline application technology.
