With the worsening of public safety and the environment problem around the world in recentyears, the wireless sensor network technology and video surveillance technology have alreadywidely used in the subways, airports, schools, hospitals, businesses, military installations andother places. In order to meet the needs which people can view the remote environment andscene information through the intelligent terminal or PC when and where, the paper designs andimplements an embedded multimedia sensing terminal equipment based on TMS320DM368combined with the wireless sensor network technology and video surveillance technology.Firstly, according to the functional and performance requirements of the sensor terminalequipment, the system is divided into the environmental physical information monitoringsubsystem and alarm subsystem, video and audio capture and playback subsystem, multimediadata processing and transmission subsystem.On the basis of extensive research, the paper designsand realizes the embedded multimedia sensing terminal equipment based on TMS320DM368.Secondly, the paper realizes the subsystem of the environmental physical informationmonitoring and alarm subsystem. The subsystem is divided into the environment physicalinformation monitoring module based on the ZigBee network, the abnormal alarm module basedof the TC37and the microcontroller control module based on the MSP430F169, the following isshown the hardware circuit design and software implementation of the modules.Thirdly, the paper realizes the subsystem of the capture and playback of audio and video,builds the Linux development environment based on the TMS320DM368, complete thehardware circuit design of the audio and video capture and playback unit, designs the drivers andapplications program of the audio and video capture.Fourth, the paper realizes the subsystem of the multimedia data processing and transmission,complete the coding of multimedia data, and then builds the multimedia data transmissionmodule in real-time based on the Live555and the real-time transmission module based on theWeb server,completes the wireless transmission of the multimedia data.Finally, a software and hardware joint test of the system is shown; the test results show thatthe system can complete monitoring and real-time transmission of multimedia data, and meet theneeds of the projects and the users.
