With the development of society,some specific sites like drugs storehouse,food industry,greenhouses a nd ar chives al l h ave b ecome i ncreasingly d emanding environmental p arameters.Therefore,more a nd more pe ople c oncerned a bout t he temperature and humidity indicators.With the communications,consumer electronics and computer merging and rapid development in recent years,people have become researched actively and in-depth study of embedded technology.As development of embedded system applications become increasingly sophisticated,the products in the use of embedded technology are More and more into the human production and life.Now t he pr actical a pplication of e nvironmental m onitoring s ystem i s m ainly based on t he hos t-the terminal pattern which is not e asy to wire on the s pot and unified control.This thesis devises an environmental m onitoring s ystem which i s based on the Samsung S3C6410 microprocessor and MODBUS protocol.This system includs the collection,storage, transmission, display of environmental parameters and solves on-site wiring d ifficulty,unified m anagement a nd ot her issues.Hence,this system is good to meet the needs of users.Not only can users choose wired or wireless means on the terminal to collect multi-channel data,but also display the data on the upper c omputer a nd l ower c omputer.This sy stem uses t he st andard MO DBUS communication protocol and achieves a variety of ways to transfer data,which also uses validated methods to ensure data transmission link more reliable.The system can collect real-time sampling points of the temperature and humidity values and deal promptly.At the same time the data will be showed friendly to the user and stored for future use.This thesis designs system overall architecture in terms of user needs firstly.In the m eantime this th esis accomplishes the c hoice of upper c omputer software development platform and database type, design of communication protocol between upper c omputer a nd l ower c omputer,architecture of upper c omputer software an d design of data format in the database. The important contents are to achieve data display,control of s ystem,data e xport,database c onnectivity,serial c ommunication, system cal ibration,implement of s econd m achine and generation of installation program these eight major components.In addition, this system also joins the second monitoring machine mechanism for the first time,which makes the system no longer just a single host, provides a better guarantee for the stability of the system.This thesis also c ompletes t he test of uppe r c omputer a nd corrects the id entified problems. Furthermore, this thesis optimizes the software according to the actual needs of the user and adds the e rror co rrection m echanism,encryption a lgorithm a nd t he achievment on the relevant platform.
