Research And Implementation Of SOA-based Technology For Networking Devices’ Application Integration

With the development of network technology, the traditional and isolated embedded devicescan use proprietary protocol to provide their services, but these devices do not have automaticallyintegration ability and unified-service invoke ability. So, integration methods and relatedimplementation techniques for networked devices and their applications have become key issues inresearch of networked embedded systems.This thesis analyzes the characteristics of existing middlewares for device integration, andsummarizes some common requirements, such as auto-discovery, event notification and securitycommunication, to solve the problems in device integration. It proposes a method of integratingdevices by using the DPWS protocol and implements a devices’ integration prototype based onDPWS which has features of automatically network discovery/installation, network eventprocessing and security. In order to solve the devices’ application integration problems, a method isproposed to implement devices’ application integration by using service-oriented interface to realizea device integration system that is network applications-oriented with the Web services abstractedfrom the actual functions. Based on DPWS features and the requirements of the network camera’sapplication, a implement method is proposed to integrate DPWS and provide application interfacesbased on Web-Services, and a prototype of application integration for networking device isimplemented.This thesis experiments and tests the interoperability between devices and controllers which aresupported by prototype system based on SOA, as well as the devices’ availability of functions fordiscovery/installation, control, event and security.
