With the rapid development of information technology, sensor technology, computer technology, communication technology and automatic control technology have been widely used in agricultural production. As part of Information Agriculture, greenhouse can improve the environment, and create favorable conditions, increase growth rate for crops. One of the important technology is data acquisition of various environmental factors. Only collected the data of the environmental factors can we achieve automatic control of the greenhouse.This study took the Inner Mongolia Digital Agricultural and Livestock Demonstration Project and the China Agricultural University-Inner Mongolia Agricultural University Research and Cooperation Fund as basis, studied how to use microcontroller technology to collect data in greenhouse environment. The collection system was divided into two parts: the data collection in greenhouse and the host PC in monitoring and controlling room. The key of the data collection system was MCU, which was responsible for the collection of six environmental factors in greenhouse, such as atmosphere temperature, soil temperature, atmospheric humidity, soil moisture, CO2concentration and illumination, and collected information is stored in the collector’s memory, and displayed in the LCD display on the collector panel. Users can view historical data in the memory via keyboard and display. The host computer is an ordinary PC, which comunicates with collector via RS-485protocol, and exchanges data dynamically. With the help of kingview software, real-time and historical data of various environmental factors, real-time trend curves and historical trend curve can be displayed in the host PC. The system also has the function of making environmental factors in upper and lower limits alarms, and database operations. In a word, the collection system provided effective data information for automatic control of greenhouse.
