Currently, there are many DCS software in domestic and foreign markets, configuration software is the special software that has the functions of data acquisition and process control. With the market rapid increase in the level of industrial automation and computer applications in a wide range of industries, people are increasingly high requirements of modern industrial automation. And a variety of industrial control software is increasingly popular in the market, making the traditional industrial control software has been unable to meet user needs. Gradually the traditional configuration software exposed theirs scalability poor, it do not support open standards and distributed environments and other defects, which takes a lot of inconvenience to the users. Therefore, it is necessary to study in-depth on the configuration software architecture and development methodology.This paper analyzes industrial control software in the domestic and foreign markets. Based on these, it proposed the thought of multiplexing component. Through the technology of multiplexing components, the users can easily build their own on-site configuration to meet the individual needs of different customers. Also, the use of multiplexing section components can effectively improve the efficiency of industrial software development, and shorten the cycle of software development. In this system, it designed and implemented the graphical component, which design the configuration screen in the form of a metafile. It draws simple primitives use the technology of GDI+. and metafile can be stored as XML documents using serial technology. Pixel is divided into simple primitives and complex elements, complex elements generated by the basic primitives through a combination, it can reduce the development effort. Meanwhile, the system uses dynamic link library to run real-time database system components, through the dynamic link library function, the users can store the dynamic link library owned by the global data, in order to achieve fast communication between different tasks, but also in the case of multi-task, using the dynamic link library can save memory and improve performance of programs, each functional module can achieve the functions by real-time database interface. Using the dynamic link library can well meet the requirements of real-time database systems.
