With the rapid popularization of the embedded devices in the communications, electronics, aerospace, industrial automation control, financial, medical and other fields, the amount of data also continue to grow in embedded application environment, therefore it has become particularly important to provide data management for embedded systems. Differently with traditional database, the embedded real-time database is data manager technology of embedded system. At present, the embedded real-time database has become a hot research field. It has highly significance to meet with real-time processing massive data in embedded environment.The paper firstly shows the overall design and level structure of TY_ERTDB developed by ourselves of common project team. Then made the design and implementation of platform work in embedded real-time system VxWorks. Combining the transaction scheduling with system task, it has increased the real-time of data processing in accessing concurren control, taking advantage of the real-time of VxWorks. Streaming media data has a widely existence in binary format stream. It would be critical technology for embedded real-time database to support BLOB non-structure datatype. This paper has implemented the BLOB data management module that based on disk page management, so it could deal with the binary objects data effectively. Based on that, we make a research on storage of electronic chart data of shapefile format. Make the EDBMS could storage and deal with the electronic chart data.So as to make loading spatial data into EDBMS more significant.Finally, through the tests of various features of database in VxWorks, the results had showed that specifications of TY_ERTDB had high level, which could solve the requirement of real-time processing massive data.
