RTDBSs,with timing character or explicit timing restriction, has been the hot-subject matter in technical study and engineering application for advanced databases,as expanding application fields.In this paper,summarized the oversea and domestic current states of the study and application about major RTDBSs .Explained the important significance and main contents about the study-work.Analyzed various attributes, applied circumstances,main technologies,designed principle and architecture in detail.Emphatically researched pivotal technologies in this paper such as micro-kernel structure in RTDBS, real-time scheduling about transactions, concurrency controlling about transactions, buffer managing, active machinery and distributed applications and so on. Gave the corresponding structures and algorithms according to the application characters in flow industries,included:dividual scheduling,hybrid-2PL concurrency controlling,improved P-LRU algorithm about buffer management,E-RG active machinery etc..After researching the data organization,loading and exchanging stratigies, accessing methods in main memory and managing the history data,designed a general application scheme for RTDB,considering the applied existing states in universal automation in a steelworks against utility in flow industries.Gave the architecture ,pivotal technologies and implemented prototype.Finally,generalized research effort,pointed out the further research issues and directions from application foreground and technology development in RTDBS.
