With development of computer technique, data communication and network, information technique has great impact on traditional industrial control. Novel computer control system and industrial networks such as DCS, Field bus and Industrial Ethernet have brought a high-level revolution for industrial automation. Computer Intergrated Process System(CIPS) for process industry was presented based on the integration of computer technique, control technique, network technique and managament technique etc. Real-Time database plays a key role in the architecture of CIPS, provides other advanced application systems with a basic integrated data platform. Consider with the characteristics of process industrial automation, many kinds of advanced real-time database are analyzed and a distributed large-scale real-time database is presented based on component technique.Then a real-time database software(ESP-/SYS) is programmed.The research results of this thesis can be summarized as following:1. Construct large-scale real-time database system and realize network application by using distributed component technology.2. Adopting micro-kernel architecture which similar to modern operation system and separating the functions of different key models, the periphery operations are seperated with kernel completely. Self-diagnosis model is introduced to strengthen the stability of the real-time database system.3. Optimized data compression and data storage techniques are adopted to process massive data flux.4. Providing various data interface to facilitate third-party intergation, those data interface including OPC, COM,OLE Automation,.Net,SOAP,OLEDB etc.5. Embeded virtual machine is constructed to realize programmable function and some complex application such as APC and data mine can be supported.6. Using Microsoft Asp.Net to construct web application, include flow chart,report forms,data statistical analysis etc.7. Interface layer is introduced to separate system kernel and data source, providing a uniform data transmission mechanism which support most of the popular protocol as OPC,DDE,RS232/485,Modbus,GPRS etc.
