| Nowadays the research of remote meter reading system is very hot in meter reading industry. The essential goal is to get the data accurately from meters. This graduation thesis presents a remote meter reading system which transmits data by M-BUS and GPRS communication technology.The thesis ascertains the task and solution of system design depending on actual needs. The architecture of the design is divided into three parts:data collection layer, data transport layer and management layer. The data collection layer collects data from meters. The data transport layer uploads the data to the server. And the management layer analyses the data from server and gives a summary. This thesis gives the design of terminal collector, concentrator and upper monitor system according to the demand. The terminal collector gets data from meters by M-BUS or other interface. The concentrator connects terminal collector by M-BUS and transmit data by M-BUS. And it connects the Internet by MC55. The upper monitor works on the data management in server. Administrators and users can browse the information by entering to the upper monitor system.Here are the design of system hardware and software in this thesis. The terminal collector consists of master MCU, M-BUS host, M-BUS slave and RS232interface. The concentrator consists of master MCU, M-BUS host and GPRS module. The upper monitor is developed by vs2008. SAM3N series microcontroller is chosen as the master MCU which is designed for industry, controlling, metering, consumer and medical treatment by ATMEL Corporation. And the MC55designed by Siemens is chosen as the GPRS module. The point of system software design is the design of M-BUS data transceiver program and GPRS communication program. At the last of this thesis, the inadequacy of system and ways of improvement are proposed. |
