With the the ALL IP accelerating process, as well as the arrival of3G, LTE and businessoperations, IP-based data services have become the main MAN sent. The Guangzhou themoving local network at this stage still SDH combined WDM networks as the main way ofservice bearer SDH technology is carried in the TDM characteristics based on thepacket-switched data services, there are many drawbacks,SDH has been unable to meet thedevelopment needs of the business, it will gradually withdraw from the stage of history. AndWDM networking capability, and the ability to protect the weak, and also urgent improved,which leads to high bandwidth utilization, flexibility is poor, can no longer meet the needs offuture business development.PTN (Packet Transport Network) technology is based on packet switching kernel, canwell solve the difficulties encountered SDH and OTN (Optical Transport Network)technology can compensate for WDM networking defect. This paper to explore the PTN andOTN fusion of networking applications strategy, choosing the optimal networking solutions toimprove the transmission capacity of the network and fiber optic cable resource utilization,construction projects in the business-oriented, comprehensive IP-based business operations tobetter meet intelligence, the development of all optical network needs to provide greatersecurity, greater broadband, longer transmission distance of the all-optical network.
