Popularized Mobile Internet and intelligent terminals, MDS presents a huge growth trend.The contradiction of communication frequency resource shortage is promoting continuousmobile communication technology innovation. Along with the construction of the TD-LTEscale technology test network, the Chinese mobile telecommunication will be the era of LTEin the coming few years. With the background, we need to strengthen the research of TD-LTEnetwork planning and design, for base of the coming TD-LTE large-scale networkconstruction. The target of the paper is to study network planning and propose the feasiblescheme.Firstly, the paper states basic principle of the TD-LTE, introduces the key technologys,such as OFDM, MIMO, link adaptive, and so on. Also, introduces unique characteristic ofthe network planning system comparing to2G/3G system, provides a basis for the specificstudy of TD-LTE wireless network planning.In addition, based on the characteristics of TD-LTE system, the paper puts forward adetailed TD-LTE macrocell network planning process, and provides the corresponding needsanalysis method, and a detailed analysis of the coverage, capacity, interference characteristicsof the main factors and make reasonable suggestions.On the basis of above work, the paper uses Atoll software as the simulation platform,planed TD-LTE network wireless for university Zone in some city and made scheme ofupgrade from current TD-SCDMA network to TD–LTE network. Through the simulationanalysis, optimization, achieve the general planning target finally, it is proved that the schemeis feasible. The simulation results have a certain reference value for the guidance of TD-LTEmacrocell wireless network base station plan, meanwhile, also for the network wirelessoptimization.
