Due to the increasingly complicated electromagnetic environments in battlefields, the needs for the radar seeker electronic countermeasures (ECM) are being detailed and quantized day by day. A large number of field tests are needed to verify and improve the radar ECM function and performance. However, as the test sample number, test design methods and test conditions are always different, more or less, from the real platform or the real wartime environment, strong adaptability is required for the radar ECM algorithm. In the light of the problems above, the models of ship targets, corner reflectors, sea clutters, chaff jamming targets, active jamming targets, etc., are established by the linear superposition method, based on the processing model and procedures of the coherent radar, to simulate the echo signals of the coherent radar in complex environment, so that radar ECM algorithms and procedures could be verified and optimized in an alternative way other than field test. The main contents are as follow:1. Radar target echo modeling and simulation. The modeling method of the ideal point target, the ideal extended target, RCS model, multipath model, polarization feature model, and angular glint are illustrated. The simulation results based on the processing model of the typical coherent radar seeker are discussed.2. Passive jamming echo modeling and simulation. The features and modeling methods of the passive-jammings such as the chaff-jamming and the corner reflector are illustrated, as well as the active jammings such as the shielding jamming and the deceiving jamming. The simulation results are analyzed in the thesis.3. Simulation software design and development. Based on the software engineering, the simulation software can be developed with proper tool softwares and developing environments. Its presumed function and performance are defined after the demand analysis and the feasibility analysis. The interface design, data and procedure design are illustrated in the typical implementing scene.4. Simulation software verification and analysis. The search ability of a certain radar seeker is tested with the complex scene data generated by the software. The procedures and the processing ability of the software in the seeker for complicated scenes are verified, as well as the adaptability of the ECM algorithm in the software.
