| With the rapid development of information technology, the scale and complexity ofthe enterprise is rapidly rising. Not only the traditional business is gradually beingtransplanted to the network environment, but also new business is being added into thenetwork environment. Various internal departments and external customers increasinglyrely on the network environment to handle a variety of business and exchange. However,any fault or functionless performance in network will cause immeasurable loss.Therefore, effective management and maintenance of the network have to be done asimmediately as possible.NMS had been widely adopted as an effective means of protecting network.Through monitoring, analysis and control to achieve performance management,configuration management, security management, and fault management. About thenetwork management models, the traditional passive network management model isdifficult to adapt to the needs of today’s network environment, proactive networkmanagement mode become an urgent demand of enterprises. In this thesis, networkmanagement system based on the SNMP protocol was designed and implemented on thebasis of in-depth study of active network management, and it can effectively ensure thesecurity of the network services, and stable operation. The research work in this thesisare as follows:Frist of all,research about network management technology including basicconcepts of network management, functions, in-depth analysis of the shortcomings oftraditional network management, the advantage of current active network managementtechnology, focusing on the principle of the SNMP protocol, and other assistivetechnologies.Secondly,according to the needs of the research, I analyzed and summarized thespecific needs of the specific network environment for proactive network management,also design the NMS which is based on configuration and resource management, andtakes performance management as clues, takes fault management as core. Given thedetail design of NE management module, automatic discovery module, configuration management module, topology display module, performance management module andfault management module. Also their internal processing flow are make.Thirdly,in accordance with the specific system design framework, the realization ofthe network management system based on J2EE platform and detailed tests in the actualnetwork environment have been given in this thesis.The active network management system in this thesis achieve the target ofmonitoring and management of IT infrastructure and core business, enhance the level ofnetwork operation and maintenance, and change from passive management to activemanagement, also protects the business system running stably. |
