Data acquisition system is an integrated disciplines,which is a collection of the sensor technology, signal regulate circuit technology, data processing technology, data storage technology, data transmission technology.Data acquisition system has been widely used in the field of aerospace, industrial field control, video monitoring system, image analysis,and so on. At present, the data acquisition system used MCU, DSP or FPGA as collection system control center, and combined with bus transmission technology to achieve high speed data acquisition.This paper is the design of based on the X86platform PCI104data acquisition system,is mainly combination with data collection technology, data storage technology, data transmission technology research, to achieve the design of the data acquisition system. Following major elements:(1)reaserch the data acquisition system of the domestic and foreign research current situation;(2)select the total scheme of the data acquisition and accomplish the design of total scheme;(3)design hardware circuit of data acquisition system;(3)the sofeware design of data acquisition system and design of the data acquisition scheduling strategy optimization;(5)the relevant function simulation is based on board of altera DE2development.Main works are as follows:(1)Through analysis the current situation of the domestic and international data acquisition system,and study of the related technical characteristics in data acquisition system,it is ready to work for the relevant design of data acquisition system.(2)Through in study of the data acquisition system implementation scheme,then analysis the advantages and disadvantages of various scheme, and determine design the final proposal of this paper.The basic design of the core module is FPGA in logical control,firstly it is begin in data collecting, then take the data of collecting level cache to store in FPGA’s internal FIFO,level2cache storage to external memory.Finally it is transmission the memory data to the PC through the PCI bus.(3)Based on hardware circuit design of the X86platform PCI104data collection system, The main module includes two parts:Based on the X86hardware platform,is used a H3502industrial control mainboard;PCI104data acquisition hardware modules, mainly including:A/D converter module, FPGA module, the PCI9054module, power module, clock module, etc.the related circuit design is based on Cadence software.(4) It is optimization designed of the collection strategy to data acquisition system. Specific optimization strategy is for:(1) data acquisition scheduling optimization strategy;(2) data storage optimization strategy;(3) data transmission optimization strategy.(5) Data collection system software design and relevant function simulation.Data collection system software mainly includes three parts of the design,One is the design of internal logic control program in FPGA, and optimization design for the data acquisition strategy; another is design the driver of data acquisition system; the other is the design of application program in data acquisition system, use Visual C++written a simple application program. Related function simulation is based in Altera DE2development board. It is mianly including the simulation of ADC logic controller, SDRAM logic controller and PCI9054logic controller based on Verilog HDL language.
