Media literacy has become more and more mature in the western countries, whileit’s still in its infancy in China. At present, the Chinese scholars in this field still attachmuch importance to the comparative study by comparing with the media literacyeducation in the foreign countries. Little is the practical research on the media literacyeducation, especially the media literacy education of a special group the teenagers.The media literacy practical education for teenagers aims at cultivating their ability ofcritically understanding and creating information, including such media information asfilm and television, broadcasting, advertisement, newspaper, and magazines.This research is trying to break the bottleneck of teenagers’ media literacyeducation, propose a new form of adopting network teaching, and construct theteaching mode that can be applied to Moodle network courses. According to theresearch experience before, this paper has designed and developed the network courseplatform of the media literacy education suitable for teenagers’ psychological andcognitive development, based on which the practical research has been conducted forquite a long time.This paper includes eight parts:Part I and Part II mainly talks about aims, significance, and methods of theresearch, discusses related media literacy concepts, and presents the actual situations ofmedia literacy education development in home and abroad.Part III discusses the defining of teenagers’ age, analyzes their psychologicaldevelopment and behavioral characteristics, makes comments on the current situationof their media literacy education and puts forward the existing problems in thepractical process of teenagers’ media literacy.Part IV conducts a comparative analysis on the existing ways of developingteenagers’ media literacy education, and draws the conclusion that the network courseis the fastest and most effective way to promote the media literacy till now. On thisbasis, the part makes further analysis on the profit tendency of choosing and usingMoodle platform to conduct the educational practice.Part V is the key point and also the light spot of this paper. Guided by the designprinciple of the network course, the writer puts forward the design mode of networkcourse based on the Moodle platform. Through the practical mode of the course, themedia literacy network course will be developed and put into use.Part VI designs and develops the network course of teenagers’ media literacy Observe the World Through Wise Eyes, guided by the network course practical mode,in accordance with the basic process of feature analysis on learners, teaching aimsdesign, teaching content design, teaching strategy design, teaching resource design,teaching environment design, teaching activity design and teaching evaluation design.Part VII conducts a practical research on the network course, discusses and makesreflection on typical cases in practical teaching through such methods as interviewsand observation.Part VIII draws the conclusion and looks into its future.
