In recent years, the development of telecommunication networks is a very obvious trends toward broadband, IP, and service integration. But in access network development aspect,"Light fall into the copper" has recognized industry-wide, including operator. Optical access technology will become one of the main technologies of access network. Telecommunication, radio and television operators across the country are actively building FTTH (Fiber to the Home) project. Passive optical network (PON) technology is the most attractive technology in the FTTH solution. PON network’s advantage is high reliability, small environmental dependence, management and maintenance of low-cost. PON-based structure laying fiber to the user’s home, integrated voice, data, video and HDTV and other services to users, thus completely solve the access bottleneck. The ultimate goal of the development of access network is achieving. Coaxial cable access network is the coaxial cable as a transmission medium access network, and is a access technologies based on the cable television networks (CATV). Coaxial cable access network is a HFC tow-way transformation of traditional cable television for broadband access. Coaxial cable access technology is one of the mature broadband access technologies, to enter the market earlier. Its huge bandwidth and good economy, has a powerful attraction for cable operators and telecom operators, especially in the areas of the perfect coaxial cable network has unparalleled advantages.According to the multimedia services and broadband data services of the digital TV(DVB), networks television(IPTV). According to the digital TV(DVB), network television(IPTV) two mainstream multimedia services and broadband data services, as well as optical fiber access network and coaxial access network. Based on the coaxial cable and fiber integrated access terminal product, a access system of a full-service is designed. It could carry out the business of digital television, interactive on-demand, as well as voice, data, etc., to achieve the "triple play" and business high-speed access。 According to the different systems of the access environment flexibility to choose the most suitable access technology, and the system is also used to the maximum extent the coaxial resources, reduce the cost of construction. In order to realize the full-service network access, the integrated coaxial cable and the optical fiber access terminal products were required. Coaxial cable-oriented access terminal and optical fiber transceiver for optical access were profiled. In response to the two terminal conducted an analysis of its circuit architecture as well as the core component, two types terminals for coaxial cable, fiber optical access as well as twisted pair cable access, integrated access to the terminal were designed. This terminal may take the existing coaxial cable network as well as the twisted pair line network access equipment, simultaneously also can take the next step optical fiber to the home(FTTH) optical fiber access equipment. Through the performance testing of the coaxial access part and fiber optic access part of the integrated access to the terminal product, the access terminal stable performance and low power consumption meeting the business needs of an access network.The optimization design program based on the composite SCM/Ethernet PON complete multi-media business hosting was given. Using VOD way to load bearing DVB and the IPTV two kind of services, achieve the best bandwidth use factor. Also introduced a method of a EPON DVB network hosting business, to achieve the best EPON downward bandwidth use factor.
