| With the rapid growth of the streaming media services such as VOD, TV programs, videophone, web games and multimedia information broadband Internet provides to home subscribers, IPTV services becomes a hotspot in the broadband multimedia field.IPTV services can provide: streaming media service, telecom service, games service and information service, with the core service being unicast and multicast of the streaming media service.As the requirement of IPTV service for the bearer network differs from ordinary go-online service, operators need to make necessary transformation of the existing transmission networks, especially bearer access to meet the requirements for large bandwidth, high rate, manageability, controllability, interaction and security.The access protocol is the core technology of the access network, which will face the challenge of the IPTV. There are three access protocols including PPPOE, DHCP, and IEEE802.1x.First, an overview of the key technology, system component, network architecture and service of the IPTV is given. Then, a detail analysis of PPPOE, DHCP and IEEE802.1x is needed, which is including the frame structure and how them work. A comparison of the advantage and disadvantage of these access protocols is made based on the detail analysis. And then, a development trend of the access protocol in the IPTV is proposed based on the character of the IPTV service.After that, an access protocol is carried out based on the improvement of DHCP, which is suitable for the IPTV service. Then, this thesis proposes a strategy for the management of the multicast user, which is advantage for spreading the IPTV service. |
