Implementation Of IPTV Unified Terminal Management Platform Based On TR069 Protocol

With the continuous development of IPTV services, the type and complexity of terminals are increasing, the number of terminals is increasingly large. Since 2006, Shanghai Telecom’s IPTV service is large-scale commercial used. After seven years of continuous development, business became more and more matured. Expected by the end of 2013, IPTV service will be developed to 2 million users, with more than 1 million daily active users. Faced with such a large-scale set-top box platform for the construction of the terminal management has become a focus of attention.Based on the TR069 protocol, this paper design and implement the IPTV terminal unified management platform. IPTV terminal management platform design unified purpose is to unify management of the set-top box manufacturers, while the liberation of business management platform, to achieve a more flexible and efficient operation and maintenance. Simply by a platform operator can perform all configuration set-top boxes, including set-top boxes to modify the parameters, the upgrade of set-top box version, STB failure investigation, as well as providing a unified management of external interfaces. Also the system has a high throughput, low latency and high scalability performance advantages. This article describes the basic platform for the entire terminal management functions, and focuses on the design of optimal performance. Finally, the paper also prospected terminal management platform for the future development direction:greater system load, higher performance requirements, more detailed status interaction.
