It is meaningful to study the problem of network reliability for network panning, network designing and improvement of network operating. At present MSTP is the main technology of field network organization in all of operators. The research of how to improve network reliability of MSTP field network, how to improve service quality and how to ensure customer relation is of important reality significance.Firstly, relevant principle and technology of MSTP are introduced, and the old status of FuShun network on core layer, collective layer and access layer is analysised in the thesis. Basing on analysis of network reliability, the inadequacy of FuShun network on reliability is figured then.Secondly, concept and characteristics of network reliability are researched, and basing on analysis of main factors which affect network reliability, measures to improve network reliability are proposed. After brief introduction on technology to ensure reliability, according to the demand of FuShun network and combining characters of relevant technology, embedded RPR is chosen as construction technology of MSTP.Thirdly, basing on research and analysis above, combining with actuation of FuShun network, design to improve reliability indicators of FuShun network is proposed on improvement of device performance, optimization of network topology and embedded RPR technology.Combined with the advantages and disadvantages of RPR self-healing protection,we designe the self-healing adwantages of first retrace, then of near copy. Through the contrast of reliability test before and after the implement, network reformed is improved obviously on network reliability.At last, the conclusion of the thesis and outlook of future research are given.
