Design And Implementation Of Assignment System Based On SharePoint

With the rapid development of modern society, the traditional educational methods have not been competent to meet the knowledge demands of people. Meanwhile many problems have exposed:slow knowledge updating, resources insufficiency, existing educational resources not being fully exploited yet, high cost of teaching, and that solving of questions could not be on time. These shortcomings not only lower students’intellectual curiosity, dampen the enthusiasm of their assignment, but also hinder teachers from taking into account the different levels of students and answering student’s questions timely. The popularity of the Internet has brought new opportunities for the education methods. A variety of network teaching systems have appeared, however, there are also many problems:high maintenance cost, a single assignment model, imperfection of assignment management and so on. Some assignment systems are just replicas of the traditional model, not fully using the advantages of network technology.This thesis, based on research of network teaching systems by domestic and foreign research institutions, designs and implements a three-tier network service system with four roles, the system administrator, teachers, students and parents to work together based on SharePoint with integrated document management functionality developed on the Visual Studio development platform. The main functions implemented in this thesis are sharing resources, creating assignments, recovering assignment, activating assignment, returning assignment, doing assignment, submitting assignment, reviewing assignment, grading assignment and so on. These functions have been fully recognized by students and teachers through the application in the Computing Center LAN.The implementation of the assignment system, as a subsystem, is closely related to the development of the whole system. Therefore, the system architecture design and implementation is completed based on the development of the entire education system. The assignment system in this thesis has not implemented all:mainly about questions and answers between students and teachers; timely communication between teachers and parents. However, I believe with the efforts in a period of time the development of the whole system will be able to complete. The thesis has done a lot of work the part of the demands analysis, and I believe it has a high reference value to develop other assignment system.
