Marine fishery communication is an important means between fishing boats andland, and among fishing boats. This dissertation aims at the design of the radio relaywhich assorts with the SX08series digital fishery radio. The radio relay can enlarge andenrich the functions and usage range of the former fishery radio system. It not onlyenables the communication among fishing boats, but also that between fishing boats andtelephone, cellphone on land. With this design, the environment of productionoperations for fishermen is largely improved, and the diverse requirements forcommunication are satisfied.In this dissertation, firstly, the research background is introduced, and the domesticand international’s researches in fishery communication system is discussed. And then,the importance of designing a radio relay for fishery is analyzed. Secondly, theperformance of the radio relay is analyzed, including the transmission distance andblocking probability analysis. Thirdly, according to the functionality and designrequirements of the radio relay, system program is designed. Then a new scheme isproposed referring to the practical development requirement. Also, communicationprotocols between modules are designed and a software program of the fixed module isincluded. Finally, after testing, the system indicators and features meet the designrequirements. All parts of the system run in coordination and stability. In addition,remote network control and access to billing information are both implemented.Operations of the system are stable and convenient.
