| Festival activities are festivals and events collectively. As the industry matures f estivals,festivals of China’s urban development industry in the context of markedly effective active impromoting urban development, to expand the urban influence, optimize the industrial structure has played an important role in the promotion. F estivals is the dissemination of information to maintain the stable development of the important festivals one of the guarantees, when grafted to the festivals of ne w media into communication, it changed the scope of traditional festivals spread, en riched the city’s form of festivals. Therefore, the study of festivals in the spread o f new media, with practical relevance.In this paper, festivals spread for the study, put it in the continuous develop ment of new media technology context, and the Shanghai World Expo in new me dia applications, for example, a comprehensive sort of new media festivals in the spread of the historical context, to explore its evolutionary path, the overall charac teristics of future trends. This paper discusses the following three parts:the first pa rt of the main origins of the research described in this paper, through the literature review to ask questions, and then presents the research methods of this paper, an d paper involved in the major key words to be defined.
