| Traditional festival is a brilliant cultural symbol for our country, which has a profound historical culture and mass base. It can promote national self-esteem, self-confidence, forming an important way to cultural identity.But along with the speeding up of Chinese social transformation and globalization, traditional festival culture becomes more and more weaker. The Mid-Autumn festival,which is the second largest traditional festival in China, lacking of effective legal protection after the founding of the country. Accompanied by the sound of the protection and inheritance of traditional festival culture, in 2008 the Mid-Autumn festival was incorporated into the national legal holiday system, ushering a new period of development.Seven years have passed, in this period when Mid-Autumn festival was incorporated into the national legal holiday system, how does the media report the Mid-Autumn festival in China, what are the changes and trends, what kind of Mid-Autumn festival culture does the reports pass, are there some problems, what are the improvement strategies? These are the research questions.This dissertation selects reports about Mid-Autumn festival of "People’s daily"from 2008 to 2014, which will be analysized from the seven aspects:the number of reports, the pages,the spaces, the forms,the themes, the tone, the information channel.Aiming to understand the changes and trends of Mid-Autumn festival reports, summarizing its general characteristics, and combining with cultural policy, economy, lifestyle changes in China after 2008. According to the analysis results, I want to find some problems about the reports about Mid-Autumn festival of "People’s daily",and attempt to put forward some improvement Suggestions. This dissertation focuses on the interaction between Mid-Autumn festival culture and mass media,aiming to make mass media protect and pass Mid-Autumn festival culture better, protecting the diversity and uniqueness of the traditional culture of our country. |
