As a highly interdisciplinary research focus. Internet of Things has been playing a more and more important role in providing intellectual life. This thesis puts its research focus on the design of∑△modulator in transmitter of Wireless Sensor Network node chips to realize FSK modulation.First, basic concepts and composition of IoT are presented. And the structure of WSN node chip is mentioned, while the transmitter part and its main component, fractional-N PLL are discussed in details. Phase noise included by fractional-N PLL is suppressed by application of∑△modulation. Then the thesis makes a systematic introduction of the principle and basic concepts of∑△modulator.∑△modulators of different structures have been studied and simulated. According to application, power dissipation, stability and circuit implementation issues, a MASH1-1-∑△modulator based on error feed back structure has been used. After then, FPGA is shortly discussed, and the design is verified by an Altera Cyclone Ⅱ FPGA chip.Finally, the work is summarized and the direction of future study is proposed.
