Nowadays enterprise management decision is putting forward higher requirements,while making a correct and efficient decision depends on the support of data. Thetraditional ERP system is a widely used management software. However, it is featured bythe processing transaction, which is difficult for decision support to provide strongprotection. Using data warehouse technology of business intelligence for decisionsupporting provides a complete solution for decision. It also provides the enterprise withthe rapid data analysis techniques and methods, including the collection, management andanalysis of data full of useful information distributed to enterprise everywhere.From the actual situation, this paper proposes a set of solutions to ERP sales systemapplying for data warehouse technology. This system can manage the daily sales data andanalysis them according to sales report, then work out the sales strategies. It can alsoprovide intelligent analysis methods of marketing strategy for the sales department of theenterprise which solves the problem of that sales data cannot be the base of makingmarketing strategy.Firstly the paper demonstrates the business intelligence and introduces the overviewof sales module in the ERP system, then discusses the requirements of sales subject andconfirms the source of data. Based on that, the paper puts forward the overall designschema of the system. Using the Oracle11g as the main platform and the tool to build thedata warehouse layer by layer. By virtue of Oracle Warehouse Builder this paper realizesthe course of ETL. At last, on the base of well qualified data the paper conducts OLAPcombined with the technique of multidimensional data set to get sales analysis results andgiving management decisions. This provides a strong data support for the research ofmarketing trends, and it has a certain theoretical and practical value to improve ERP.
