Research And Design On The Data Processing Of Insurance Industry Which Based On Business Intelligence

The effectiveness of the information technology applying in the commercial sector has initially shown since the informationization construction started about 20 years ago.The enterprises collect and process commercial information quickly with the help of Management Information System(MIS),and accurately monitor information flow by Enterprise Resources Plan System(ERP).With these systems,the enterprise can manage every aspect.Besides the above functions,these systems accumulates massive data such as order sheets,inventory,account,the information of customer and supplier,the data of the industry and the enterprises' competitor,as well as other data related with the enterprise.The information system should have the function of transforming these massive data to useful information,which can assist the enterprise to make an accurate decision,and it also should have the function of making the business decision automatically,which is commercial intelligence(BI).The information system has undergone the process of"MIS-＞ERP-＞BI".With the development of computer technology,the informationization of insurance industry also has experienced three stages,which are Business Informatization,Data Centralization,and Management informationization.Up to now,the majority insurance enterprises have already completed the stage of Data Centralization.Facing with the fierce market competition,the demand for management informationization of insurance industry has become more and more urgent.Under this circumstances the data warehouse and the business intelligence technology provides a mature technical support platform.With the aid of business intelligence technology,the system can extract the effective and potential commercial information from these management data,which is referential for the policy-maker and administrations related.Since the 1990s,more and more insurance enterprises of abroad have established the business intelligent system,which has greatly promoted their market competitiveness and the business efficiency."Several years later,the insurance industry of China also started applying the business intelligence technology. The architecture of business intelligent system consist of four tiers:data resources,data storage,data analysis and information providing.The business intelligent system can be applied in many different business processes.According to the demand of Guizhou province people's insurance business system,this article analyzed the characteristic of the data,carried on a series of data processing,and has solved three problems,which respectively are making effective development plan on the basis of forecasting different industries,products,and premium,finding the universal law of the characteristic of insurance applicants,and finding the potential clients and business opportunities by data mining and formulate long-term strategy plan.
